If your Learner Driving License also known as Learner driving permit or learning driving permit has been expired and you had not obtained any regular or permanent Driving License before the expiry of your learner driving license, you would need to renew your learner driving license first to obtain a regular or permanent driving license. 

Without renewing a learner driving permit you would not be able to obtain a regular or permanent driving license.

Following are the documents requirement for renewal of a learner driving license

The fee of renewal of learning driving license may vary and depend on the category of your current learner driving permit whether it is just for Bike or Motorcar / Jeep etc.

If your current learner’s permit is for Bike only, the fee would be Rs. 60/- only

If your current learner’s permit is for Bike as well ass Motorcar/Jeep, the fee would be Rs. 120/-

 

5.    Procedure for renewal of a learner Driving

 

Following are the few steps you would need to renew your leaner permit.

 

1. Visit https://dlims.punjab.gov.pk/login
2. Create an Account by putting some basic information like name, CNIC number, email, phone number etc.
3. After creating and logging into the account, click on “Renewal Learner”
4. Enter your “CNIC number” and “date of birth” and click on “submit”. (If you have not previously been issued a learner license, a message will appear displaying “No Learner Record Found against provided CNIC.
5. Once you have entered the CNIC number and date correctly without any error, a new application will open requiring you to put some additional information like phone number, emergency contact number, any disability, current address.
6. Select the category, you want to renew (If your current learner license which requires  renewal is for only bike, the category of “bike” only will appear and if your current learner is for other categories also, they will also appear. Just select them.
7. Upload Your Photograph under the tab “upload your documents”
8. Upload front side of your CNIC
9. Upload back side of your CNIC
10. Checkmark “I hereby certify that the information provided by me is correct and I will be liable for legal action, if found false or forged”
11. Click on “Submit”
12. A message of congratulation will appear, displaying “PSID Number”
13. Pay the required amount using this PSID number.
14. Click  on “My applications”
15. A window will appear displaying the detail of your application for renewal of learning license.
16. Under the tab of action, click on “Print sign”.
17. A window will appear, displaying your renewed learning license.
18. Scroll down if needed and click on “Print”

Your renewed driving license will be in colour; you can either print it or save it for future needs.
