How to Fill Succession Certificate Affidavit correctly |

1. What is an affidavit of Succession Certificate?
Affidavit for succession certificate is a document required
by NADRA by the legal heir of deceased who has applied to NADRA for issuance
of Succession Certificate and/ or Letter of Administration, for taking the
shares in movable property of deceased and for transferring / disposing
off the immovable properties of deceased.
Many words/ terms can be used for this document like (1)
Succession Certificate NADRA Affidavit (2) Letter of Administration Affidavit (3)
Authorization for Letter of Administration (4) Legal Heir Certificate affidavit
(5) NADRA affidavit succession (6) Affidavit succession certificate (7) Letter
of Authorization.
Regardless of the term used, all these documents serve the same purpose and refer to the same type of document.
It is the mandatory document demanded by NADRA for processing
the request for succession certificate/ Letter of Administration. Without
providing NADRA Succession Certificate Affidavit, you request may not be
processed.
2. Format of the affidavit for a succession certificate
Following is the Succession Certificate Affidavit

3. Guidelines on How to fill succession
certificate affidavit?
When filling the Affidavit, you should take into consideration following points.
- Affidavit is executed/signed by the person who is legal heir and has applied for obtaining succession certificate.
- Write the name, father name and Identity Card number of deceased person correctly.
- When filling details of movable and immovable properties of deceased, under the column of "Asset Type" you are required to provide the type of asset whether is movable property or immovable property
- If property is immovable properties you can clarify it by mentioning its nature like House, Plot, Land, Flat, Plaza, Unit. If property is movable, you can clarify it by mentioning the its nature like Bank Account, Saving Certificates, Motorcycle, Car, Bus, Truck etc.
- Under the column "Asset Description" you should write accurate and complete detail of property as per relevant documents like Plot/House Number, Street Number, area, Tehsil and District along with description of document on the basis of which, deceased became owner. You can see the said sample of Affidavit again to avoid any confusion.
- Under the space of "Legal Heir’s Details (Include all legal Heirs)", write detail of all the legal heirs and not a single legal heir should be left. Besides, names, CNIC number/ NICOP number, gender, relation with applicant, relation with deceased, share in property and contact number etc of each legal heir should also be mentioned.
- If you don't know the exact share each legal heir may have in the deceased person's property, you may contact a scholar/Mufti or use online calculators to check the share in inheritance.
